Newly released last year, this movie is so lovable for its magical animation, catchy music, and theme. Coraline (2009)

With cool stop motion animation, this movie is one of the best halloween movies that kids love. A story about a girl named Coraline, who moves to an dilapidated house with her parents. Feeling bored and neglected, she finds a door that leads to a parallel universe where she has everything she wants from her parallel parents, but of course it's not as good as it seems... A fairy-tale adventure that's great for the whole family to watch together.

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1999)

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1999)

Another super cool, creepy, and classic stop motion animation movie by Tim Burton. This story explains how Jack the Pumpkin King of Halloweentown wants to create something different instead of the same old scary celebration. So he attempts to do a Christmas celebration! However, the rest of the town isn’t as crazy about Christmas as Jack is. Filled with catchy songs and fun-filled humor, this adventurous film will put your kids in the mood to dress up in their skeleton wear. This movie is great around Christmas time too!

Casper (1995)

Casper (1995)

A sweet, funny film set in an old haunted house that contains three mischievous ghosts and one friendly ghost- Casper. A girl names Kat and her dad move into the house and chaos ensues. This one is a great movie for kids to watch as its a mix of live action and animation, and will definitely get them in the Halloween spirit.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Hocus Pocus (1993)

A cult film classic with amazing and hilarious actresses (like a young Sarah Jessica Parker)! The story is set in Salem and about a boy who just moved there from California, struggling to fit in. Next thing you know, he awakened a trio of 17th century witches. A funny and suspenseful adventure as you watch to see whether the wicked witches will achieve immortality.

Beetlejuice (1988)

Beetlejuice (1988)

This movie is definitely more on the creepy side, but we had to included for the dining room dancing scene (which was recently recreated by the Hadids for Vogue). A recently deceased husband and wife call on a crazy spirit named Beetlejuice to help them drive out an obnoxious family from their home. Young and iconic Winona Ryder is in the movie and becomes friends with the ghosts, since she isn’t too fond of her parents. As their attempts to scare out the family do not work, Beetlejuice gets involved and makes the situation worse. A scary movie to add to your Halloween movie lineup.

It the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

It the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

A loveable, old film where the whole Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween while Linus waits for the Great Pumpkin and Charlie Brown is invited to a halloween party. This movie is great for all ages, especially your young ones, and will definitely have your reminiscing on your Halloweens as a kid.
